Jónsi | Time To Pretend (MGMT Cover)

Alright. MGMT and I, we have history. And it’s not a pleasant one. This history made it much easier for me to hate their new record and I thought quite a bit about if I want one of their songs to me my Friday cover. In this case, we’re talking Jónsi and Jónsi wins. Can’t wait to see him play Berlin in June.

I picked up the new Jónsi album, Go, yesterday and was immediately grabbed by how unlike a Sigur Ros album it is. As a huge SR fan, I’m both glad and sad about that. Regardless, after a few listens through, I’m ready to say: it’s a phenomenal record.  This is the second track. Listen to that drumming! Wow. (via jenrobinson)
