I sincerely thought I’d put on something morose and everything would fade away into tiny little bits and pieces that would - allofasudden - make sense.  One stroke of the needle to the vinyl and BOOM.

Nick Drake - that’s it, its a Sunday type of day, Nick Drake was made for Sundays.  Brew up a nice pot of melancholy, and decide to skip the sabbath and make today not a day for resting but a day of investment.  Banks are open for business and today I will make deposits.

Loss is a strange beast that I don’t think anyone ever really masters or understands, but I know that I can say this for certain - often I’m too idealistic and determined to figure out what it is we’re living for here.  Why our hearts beat for the variety of passions they do.  Why we wake up and serve masters that have no interest in our greater peace.

This I know as truth - in no uncertain terms - I will rise each day and solve this mystery and place my faith in the knowledge that these hands were made to function with my brain to help others and create things that make our collective lives better.
