This is another reason/proof why I love startups & technology, why there’s so much awesomeness about a young team of talented people working together to solve problems and improve people’s experience.
The tv remote. What an odd device. For years it felt like it was just quickly/poorly designed and thrown into the packaging of a tv, no questions asked. It had its purpose, to a certain point.
Then came the universal remote control. What a joke of a product in terms of usability and design. I’d much rather stop watching tv before buying one of these.
Now comes the Boxee remote. The iPod of tv remotes. Sometimes it’s just as simple as that. All it needs are a bunch of awesome people doing awesome things.
Boxee showed off their very cool remote at CES yesterday.
