    Appraching 1000th follower on Twitter

    My follower’s count is 994 today. I just deleted 4 fake/spam accounts.

Moving towards the 1000th follower, I was talking with Alex yesterday about an experiment I was thinking about for the last couple of days.

I’d be interested to go through my entire follower list and block all followers that:

    • are obviously fake, spam or porn
    • have been unactive for more than 6 months
    • auto-followed based on a word I tweeted (insurance, sales, SEO, etc)
    • follow more than 5,000 other accounts
    • don’t seem to be either a real person or a company that I have an interest in or could have a genuine interest in what I post
    • are trolls

I’m pretty sure I’d go down to 500 followers. At least. It’d be worth moving forward with this little experiment but it is at the same time very time consuming. Are there any apps to help me do this or does someone else has done this before and can share her experience?
