Yes, Backblaze was days away from being acquired - and then everything fell apart.
Good timing. I’m currently reading Five Frogs On A Log, a book about the transition process after M&A’s suggested which Shai Agassi highly recommended in one of his speeches. The book is incredibly fast-paced, fascinating to read but with a quite ‘old-school’ and corporate touch to it.
Backblaze’s post about getting so close to an acquisition gives lets me continue reading the book with a startup and pre-M&A angle.
